New Lo's from Randi's new Collab kit at ACOT

Here are the two LO's I promised from Randi's new kit (part of a colab kit at ACOT).

First time playing with a template.

Now that our adoption is FINALLY final...I wanted to get some pictures and a letter off to Kai's birthmother (well, to his file in Korea that she can access if she so chooses). I HATE that I had to wait so long to send anything. I tears me up thinking she may have gone to check his file without anything being there.

Anyway, I wanted to create a 12X12 page to display multiple pictures of Kai. I usually only scrap 1-3 pics per LO, so I wasn't really even sure how to get started. I have now discovered the world of TEMPLATES...and I think I like them...ahh...my horizons are a widening! Anyway, this is one template I played around with. This is not the one I wound up sending to his birthmother (in fact I created something totally different for that...it has journaling on it that is very private so I will not be sharing that one).

Heads up...

Randi has an AWESOME kit that will be released May 1st at ACOT!! Its super super cool. I've created two LO's with it thus far and I love both of them. I can't post them yet...not until the kit is released...but trust me...they are great, b/c the kit is great. Keep your eye out!

Just Me and My Daddy...

I loved this picture as soon as I took it and couldn't wait to scrap it. The simplicity of the LO seems to work best for the pic...or, at least, I think so. There is more I could have added...but the more I added..the less I liked. I just love watching the relationship these two have together. Oh, so sweet!

ACOT Time Challenge

I created this LO for this challenge. What does time mean to you? This quote is a wonderful piece of wisdom to live by. We truly can not undo our past, no matter our mistakes or the mistakes of others. It is done and we must accept that as our reality. Not to say we can't reflect, remember, or even wonder "what might have been", but we must not be consumed with it. It is gone and now we must move forward. The future will come...irregardless of our worry over it...so why worry? Plan for the future, but enjoy the here and now!

Ahh...Kai Kai's adorable pouty face...it takes all I've got to stick to my guns when he makes his pouty face! It sure is hard being the mommy to such an adorable baby!! Hehe!

Randi has added another super cool alpha to her stores! I've been wanting to scrap this picture for a while, and this alpha just seemed to make it all come together for me. To this day, almost a year later, I am still flooded with emotions thinking about taking my son from Korea. I never knew, prior to our adoption, it was possible to feel such conflicting emotions at the same time.

Redo of Journaling Challenge LO

Decided to go ahead and redo my journaling challenge LO. Still not loving this one, but I like it better than the other. I created this with On Design Kit #14. Its late again...past midnight...off to bed now!

The journaling is hard to read here b/c of the size and font...but it is the same journaling as before.

One Last LO for the night...

Uggh!! Its well after midnight and I should really get to bed since I have to work tommorrow...oh well, here is another LO I created for the Journaling Challenge on ACOT. Not sure I love it...its not really what I envisioned...but I've submitted it for the challenge. The deadline isn't until the end of the month...so I may change it before then. BTW: The challenge was to only use the words from a song as your journaling.

One More LO with this Super Fabulous Kit

I seriously think I have gotten more use out of this kit than any other kit I have purchased thus far! This LO is actually for a challenge by On Designs. This describes the challenge.




This is actually my first time participating in a challenge...I'm not expecting much...some of these chicks are *really* good....but I'm having fun all the same!

Got My First Prints!!

Yah!! I got my first set of prints in today! I made the BIG mistake of creating ALOT of layouts before printing. Once I went to print, I realized I had created all of my LO's in 72 ppi instead of 300 ppi. At 72, the picture just does not come out clear....so I had to spend about 10-15 minutes on each layout fixing them. I have corrected all but about 8 LO's. I'm so happy to have the prints in hand. They look great and really are a treasure. I just envision Mia and Kai sitting around with their kids looking through them, reminiscing about their youth....thats what I hope will happen anyway.

BTW: I ordered from www.scrapbookpictures.com . I am very happy with the quality. They charge $1.99 for an 8X8 and $2.00 shipping regardless of how many LO's you have printed.
